The Namesake is a 2006 English-language drama film directed by Mira Nair and based on the novel The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri. It stars Irrfan Khan, Tabu and Kal Penn. This movie will be remembered forever because of Irrfan’s brilliant performance.

The movie depicts about an immigrant’s perspective about the difference between American Values and Indian Values. This movie also shows the struggle of an Indian family to adjust with the American lifestyle and also try to stay within Indian roots.

I loved this movie very much. Both Tabu and Irrfan performed flawlessly in the movie. The movie excels in every department like script writing, cinematography and direction. This movie will be cherished for a long time.

RIP Irrfan Khan. You were one of finest actors of Indian Cinema. Thanks for your valuable contribution to the World Cinema.
